Horseback Riding In The Agave Landscape Package

 

 

The distinctive Agave Landscape has been designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Come, tour the agave fields by horseback. Explore the cobblestone streets of Amatitan and fall in love with its peaceful ambience and friendly people. On this tour we will observe the process called "la jima," in which highly skilled field hands harvest the agave. We will also visit the historical district of Amatitan.

ü 11:30 a.m. Horseback ride through the agave fields of the Ontiveros Hacienda. Enjoy the scenery of this beautiful site, observe the work of the “jimador” who trims the agave by hand, then continue along the Polvorin (dirt road) to Amatitan where we will take a guided tour of the historical district and the caves.
